LET'S BEGIN
Whether you are on-site or working on a pre-survey quote, the first step is to locate the area on the map.

When you are ready to get started, you will find an address bar below the map. As you begin to type in the address provided by the client, it will autofill with relevant results.

Once the correct address populates, selecting the option will automatically move the map's focus area to the area you are looking for.

TOOL OVERVIEW
  • Polygons are used to create the borders/boundaries of mowable and non-mowable areas
  • Once the tool is selected, clicking on the map will drop a point. Continue to click along the boundary to drop points
  • When you have completed the area you are adding to the map, clicking twice on the final point will close the polygon
  • Once closed, the polygon will appear in the left side panel
CREATING POLYGONS
  1. Select the tool at the top of the map
  2. Begin by clicking the area you are looking to create a polygon for
  3. Once you have defined the area, double-clicking on the last point will close the polygon
  4. TIP: Holding "SHIFT" or clicking then holding, will allow you to move the map without switching tools
EDITING
  1. TAB: Navigation between map elements
  2. NAME: Polygons can be renamed to easily reference and organize by selecting (4).
    • NOTE: Clicking on the name will expand the note area

  3. COLOR: The now defined area can be colored to represent the area
    • Green: Robotic mower bounds
    • Red: Manual mowing
    • Blue: Ground cover (mulch, areas prone to flooding, large islands, etc.)
  4. RENAME: This icon allows for the area to be renamed
  5. DELETE: An area can be deleted by selecting this icon
  6. EDIT/UNLOCK: If you find an area needs adjusted, clicking the unlock will allow you to edit the existing polygon
    • The points on the polygon can be moved, and once moved, to interpolated points will appear
    • If you make an edit and wish to undo it, an arrow will appear on the most recently moved point
    • NOTE: While unlocked, an entire area can be moved, be cautious of this while moving quickly
  7. NOTES: Adding notes to an area is helpful for planning an install
    • An example of notes here would be:

      - Mower type
      - Number of crossings (1 Crossing = 3 Wires)
      - Number of islands
      - Grass type
      - General notes on the area, i.e., prone to flooding, considerable roots, steep hills

TOOL OVERVIEW
The polyline tool is used to create virtual guides.

This can be used both before and after install with proper notes. Using before is useful for getting an idea of how much additional wire should be accounted for. Using after an install is helpful in documenting where and how guides were installed, and can be used to more quickly and easily locate in the event of a break.
CREATING POLYLINES
  1. Select the tool at the top of the map
  2. Start from the base station, or ideal base station location
  3. Terminate where you would like to end, or where you have tied into the boundary wire
EDITING
  1. TAB: Navigation between map elements
  2. NAME: Unlike polygons, polyline names cannot be edited
  3. DELETE: Lines can be deleted from this menu in the same way polygons can
  4. UNLOCK/EDIT: Similar to the polygons, if you need to make adjustments this can be done here
    • Click the icon to unlock
    • Make adjustments as needed, this is helpful if you created guides before install to account for wire, but needed to adjust based on installation
    • Click the lock again to close the area and prevent further editing
  5. NOTES: This area is helpful for guide naming or containing general notes on the guides
    • It is a good idea to update a file/note with info on dates repairs were made

TOOL OVERVIEW
  • Markers are used to indicated areas of interest on the map for both yourself, other installers or landscaping crews responsible for edits
CREATING MARKERS
  1. Select the tool at the top of the map
  2. Once you click on the map, it will add a default generic icon
  3. In the left-hand panel, you can now update the type of marker and add relevant notes
EDITING
  1. TAB: Navigation between map elements
  2. LABEL: Marker label/type
    • This label will update depending on the marker type
  3. DELETE: Same as the other types, markers can be deleted here
  4. UNLOCK: Clicking the lock icon will unlock the marker on the map and allow you to move it
  5. TYPE: Marker types are used to visually differentiate areas of interest on the map at a glance, clicking the different types will change the marker on the map, as well as update the name in this panel
  6. NOTES: Though the markers are helpful to group areas, adding notes is important to give context/detail prior to, or even after an install
